Here's to a New Year...

Happy January!

Been a whirlwind end of the year for us!  So amazed at the progress of my last single, King of Heaven, which has now gotten over 18,000 views on YouTube!  Only God could do that!  The song got added to several Spotify playlists, was played on a few radio stations, and I was even able to give an online interview about it.  That was far beyond all that I could ever ask or imagine, and I am just so grateful!

Now that things have calmed down a bit, I have been thinking about goals for 2023.  I definitely plan to release two more original songs (one in March, and another in June), and am open to the idea of two more (September, and December) if the Lord provides the finances.

Collaboration seems to be a key theme for me this year, so I plan to continue with my weekly YouTube videos, but would love to invite more other musicians to join me in those whenever possible.  I also plan to focus more on cowriting this year, with a goal of 12 different cowrites either online or in person over the course of the year.  To help me accomplish that goal, I have signed up for an online Writing Worship Seminar this February, and I plan to attend another in Nashville in October.  It seems I grow the most when working in community with other Christian creatives, so I would like to seize those opportunities whenever possible.

Personally, I would appreciate your prayers as I continue to navigate all the different areas of my life: Songwriter, Artist, Worship Leader, Teacher, Parent, Wife, Student, and Friend.  While that sounds like a lot of different things, they are all really just different aspects of my primary identity: A Child of God!  I don't want to lose sight of that, and I want to maintain a healthy balance in each area.  That doesn't mean I can do all-the-things, but rather that I can trust God to do what I can't, and walk faithfully where He leads.

I pray you all have a wonderful start to your year, and I thank you so much for your encouragement along the way!
