Happy Release Day!
Things Change is now officially available on all major streaming platforms, so go listen on your favorite platform (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, etc.)! I have a few people I would like to thank today.
First off, I want to thank my co-writers, Heidi Kottke, Jalyn McGill, and Eric Stair! This song would not be what it is if God had not put us together in that room that day, and allowed us to work diligently at editing, creating a demo, and and praying for a way for this song to come into the world. Grateful also to the Writing Worship Community for arranging the co-write, and choosing the song to be reviewed at the conference. Thankful to Robby Valderrama, Baily Hager, Eric Nordhoff, and Rebekkah White for the amazing feedback they gave us that helped us to arrive at the final version of the song.
As for production, I am grateful to Robby Valderrama and his team at Spring Hill Studios for the impeccable job they did in bringing the song to life! Robby worked tirelessly on the production in collaboration with Zach Maurer and Haylie Allcott, and the Choir for the recording was made up of Robby and his wife Bria Valderrama, Zach Maurer, Haylie Allcott, and MacKenzie Parris. So grateful also to all of the instrumentalists on the track that sought no recognition, but gave the song such LIFE!! ❤️
I am thankful to Kevin Winebarger and his team at Courage Studios for their promotional services, and also to Chané and Eduan Beeselaar at Hello Media for all their help with radio promotion around the world.
I am so grateful to Matt Crosson, who is currently working on a lyric video that will be released in the upcoming weeks, and also to my songwriting mentors: Brad Guldemond, Sheree Wright, Krissy Nordhoff, and all of the other amazing friends and co-writers I have worked with that have helped shape my songwriting.
I couldn't have done this without the support of my Milestone Church family! You all have been a lifeline to me: encouraging me when I needed it, inviting me to share the project at church, helping make the fundraiser concert possible, and praying for and supporting my family and I through all of these changes. I love getting to worship with you all every week! ❤️
In addition to my church, I am grateful to ALL of my friends, neighbors, and family members that have prayed for me, encouraged me, and donated financially to this project. Without your support, none of this would have been possible! You have been the hands and feet of Jesus in my life, and I thank you for it! 🙌
And finally, and most importantly, I am thankful to Jesus. He changed my life in an instant over 20 years ago, but keeps changing me day by day to become more and more like Him (with a patience I can never fully understand). I can't thank Him enough!
