What a beautiful morning! I woke up today to capture this sunrise happening outside my bedroom window. It was stunning, and I was overcome by the blessing of Good Friday starting out in this way. Now I have always found it just a little odd that we call the day that Jesus died “good,” but I understand now that even though it didn't seem “good” at the time for him and all of his disciples, ultimately it WAS good for all mankind because Jesus took the punishment for all our sin. Later he would rise to show that he had also conquered death, but I am more amazed at his willingness to die in my place. He died so that I am no longer bound by the power of sin and death, and as a result of that, I get to dwell in the Holy Spirit's presence now and forever more! There are no words to fully capture my gratitude for that gift. But to the best of my ability, I hope to express it through music as long as there is breath in my lungs, and eternally in the Heavenly realms.
I pray you have a truly blessed Easter weekend, and that you seize every opportunity to thank Him in worship, whether singing a song, loving your family, laughing with friends, or snapping a photo of sunrise.
