Hello Friends!
Tonight at midnight my brand new song, “Fearless," will release on all major streaming platforms! Thank you to everyone who pre-saved the song, and I cannot wait for you to hear this one! I wrote this song last year as a part of my Writing Worship Mentorship, and it is based on Psalm 46:
1 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present[b] help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
I wanted to write a song that would reflect the perfect peace we can have when God is our fortress, and I was so excited to get to partner with Caro Jordanow, of SongMood Productions in Germany to create all of the instrumental parts and the exact atmospheric vibe that I was looking for. She did an outstanding job, and my goal is that this song helps you to understand that you don't have to be afraid (no matter what kind of crazy stuff is happening in the world) when you are abiding in His presence. That knowledge can empower you to do so many things that might have seemed impossible (like starting an artist career at over 40 years old while raising and homeschooling 5 kids)…
The album art is a photo of St. Andrews Cathedral in Scotland, taken by my friend, Carrie M. Filetti. This cathedral is the oldest one in Scotland, and has been through its fair share of trials. Destroyed by war, and further destroyed in protests agains idolatry, the ruined walls are now preserved for their historic significance. I thought the walls of this “fortress” were the perfect symbol to go along with my song, because even though they have seen significant trials, they still stand…
Tomorrow, feel free to stream the song wherever you listen to music, share it with any friends that you think might enjoy it, and if you are able, join me for the premiere of the Lyric Video I created at 9:00 a.m. EST on my YouTube channel (or you can check it out any time after that): https://youtu.be/hLgo7eum1QA?si=K7Q27C3aPQC2IATR
To recap, a few of the ways you can help the song reach more people is by 1. Streaming the song on your preferred platform, 2. liking and sharing the YouTube video, 3. Leaving a comment on the YouTube video, letting me know what you liked about the song, or how it ministered to you.
Thank you so much for your support, and I pray this song blesses you!
