"For My Good" is Out Now!

Hey Friends!

Yesterday was release day, and I am so grateful for everyone that streamed my brand new song, “For My Good!”  If you haven't had a chance to listen yet, please take a few seconds to do so on your favorite streaming platform (Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon Music, YouTube, etc).

This song is about trusting God through seasons of hardship or waiting, so I hope you notice the sound of a clock, and the pauses between lines which are intended to reflect that sense of waiting.  The album art was created from a photo I took in the Smoky Mountains of a beautiful tree that looked like it had gone through a struggle.  Seemed like it was barely hanging on, but even still, animals and moss had found a place to thrive, and I was able to capture a moment of beauty to represent the beauty that can come from what might feel like a very difficult season.  God has good plans for us, and He works all things for the good of those who are called according to His purposes.  Trust Him in the waiting, and eventually you will see the deep work he was doing in the midst of that hardship.

This song was also a learning opportunity for me to practice my production skills.  While it may not sound just as polished as other songs where I have hired a professional, I wanted an opportunity to grow my skill set, and this seemed like the perfect song to do just that.  I am so grateful to my friend, Rusty Drake, for helping me when I got stuck, and for my friends that added instrumental parts to the recording: Joe Cuyar (acoustic guitar), Kaylee Baginski (Bass), and David Arnold (drums).

If you are into creating playlists, feel free to add it to any that currently match the mood.  If you have friends that you feel would be blessed by the song, don't hesitate to reach out and send them a link through a text or direct message.  ❤️

In addition to having it available to stream, I also created a lyric video to go along with it that you can watch on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/7x1kepczuYQ?si=Cq1UniX2QbNbgn1A  Let me know what you thought in the comments section if you can!

Thank you so much for your support, and I can't wait to tell you more about what's coming next…
